Michaela Hoffova, MA

Short life story

 

Michaela was born in Prague (1988), yet spent her childhood amoungst the lush green fields and windy sea shores of South West England. She was an avid drawer from the cot, her subject matter in those early years being skeletons, graves and houses full of ladders. She has kept up her artistic persuits until this day. After moving back to her home country at the ripe old age of ten, she finished her primary studies and went on to study graphic design at the High Art School of Václav Hollar and after graduating continued her studies at the FAMU department of animation, where she recieved her MA degree in 2015. Apart from the obvious filmmaking, animating and painting, she also enjoys walking her dog, writing poetry for children, reading, travelling, playing her ukulele, singing and cooking.
